Take-In: Quick Cooking

So, I know that my blog is dedicated to reviewing local restaurants and eateries but, I thought I would share some insight into "quick cooking." Contrary to popular belief, I love to cook when I'm not arriving home after 8 o'clock at night (a rarity).

In the event that the refrigerator is not stocked up, I run to my closest Wegman's. That's right, I said it...Wegman's. I'm not sure what I love more - the food that they offer or, the fact that each meal has a calorie count in front of where it is displayed.

So, for those of you that don't have much time or, need some quick creativity, I hope the meal below helps to inspire!

Wegman's Crab Cake (can be purchased with 2 sides for $10 and comes with a fabulous sauce)
Wegman's Potato Salad

and....my favorite salad in the whole world!

Wegman's Romaine lettuce
Fresh tomatoes (or roasted from the olive bar)
Chopped onions
Prosciutto de Parma, chopped
fresh Mozzarella, chopped

Personally, I like to visit my local Italian food store, Dolce and Clemente's that has a great selection of meats, cheeses, and where I get the Prosciutto and fresh Mozzarella. If you're up for dessert, they make a fantastic fried cheesecake roll and excellent pastries that are sure to please!

Add a little bit of salt, pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a drizzle of the secret ingredient: Gocce Saba Mosto D'Uva Cotto, a dressing from William's Sonoma.

Enjoy!!!

As a young professional, it becomes increasingly difficult to find my way over to the stove after returning home from extended hours and reaching near exhaustion. After exhausting attempts to find great places to eat; nonetheless, restaurants that offer takeout, I developed this blog to assist Mercer County residents with finding food worth their time.
